RESPITE CARE JOB DESCRIPTION

Caring for a consumer for rest or relief for those persons normally caring for them.  This service is only available to an individual living in a family home residence, and is not for those living in a group home or staffed residence.

TRAINING

• Must have all the required SCL training

QUALIFICATION

• Individual must be able to travel locally and occasional overnight. 
• Must have good communication skills both written and verbal and perform tasks independently in a suitable time frame. 
• Performs required documentation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• May require travel with occasional overnight stays.
• Individual must be able to bend, stoop, reach, pull, sit, walk (long periods) and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Be able to work 50+ hours a week at times as operational demands require. 

EDUCATION

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED

Must also have a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
